On the front of this lovely French holy card it says, "Frequent Communion. The divine touch animates the cold heart; little by little he feels within himself WHAT THE HEART OF JESUS FEELS." This is a great reminder of a practical way we can approach the heart of Jesus and become more like him.

When we take communion, we are taking all of God's Sacred Heart, all of His love and mercy! As small as the Eucharist is, according to the Church, "the whole Christ is truly present, body, blood, soul, and divinity, under the appearances of bread and wine."

We have restored a mid-19th Century holy card to make this print. We also offer it as a separate holy card here in our shop (link below). It was printed by Charles Letaille, who specialized in exquisite religious engravings. This was at a time when the general art scene in Paris was by far the best in the world, and so much of their art is saturated with beauty.

IMPORTANT!!!! The image is smaller than the paper!
There is a white border around the image. About 1/2" for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", 1.6" for 11x14". Most fine art printers use a border because the ratio of the art does not match the ratio of the various paper sizes, so to print to the edge would mean cropping the art or distorting it. Most people frame the prints without a matt, as the white border gives the picture a finished look.

** IMPORTANT ** There is about an inch-and-a-third of white space around the picture, so the image is smaller than the paper.
